using the standard set at the moment, seems like a bug fix driver set this time. i havent seen any gains in benchies, actually the scores have been slightly lower than what they were with 5.2's but nothing to start cry about. gonne do some actual game tests to see that everything is in place and runs nice.

If you see ¨Fixed in this driver¨, you'll see that this release offers, just few cosmetic improvments, and only two games conserned ¨Pacific Fighters¨ & ¨Thief Deadly Shadows¨ I don't play, so I'll skip this one, 5.2 are way best here!

Who else is seeing a problem with this as this would describe myself as I run at 1600x1200 and desktop at 1024 x 768. Does anyone else do this and are you having problems. Also did they boost or maintain performance on WOW or pacific fighters as I play both a lot. Thanks for any help on the above. I have the 5.2 and love em but not sure. Also is it worth upgrading yet to the new CCC as I still use the old.

    New OpenGL?

In the Release Notes it says:

    "OpenGL Version 2.0 Support
The CATALYST™ Software Suite introduces OpenGL Version 2.0 support. This version of OpenGL will be in line with the latest GL ARB approved specifications. New to this specification are GLSL, non-power-of-two-textures, separate stencil, multiple render targets, and point sprites."

Is this the new-and-improved OpenGL that we've been hoping for from ATI since last August?

AFAIK, the only thing missing from a complete OpenGL 2.0 compliance in 5.2 were the non-power-of-two-textures.

2k points isnt really a "HUGE" boost.

I was overexaggerating, though comparatively, It's a pretty big boost for a 9600xt to any other driver I've used.

Is anyone else having Major texture problems with Half-Life 2 with the new drivers? It doesn't do it when I first start playing, but if I die or load a new game all the textures are messed up. Back to 5.2 for me.

Geard derm it, I don't want to go back to the Omega 4.12's but it looks like I'll have to again. I usually get 115 fps in CS:Source but everytime I get a different driver the max is 105 fps. I did a complete uninstall (safe mode n' such) but still no go. I also have this problem where I always have to do "Restart Runtime" before I can open CCC otherwise it won't open. You think I should try cleaning out the ATi registries or something?
