From what I could see in the video review the extended top didn't fix the problem either.

For that kind of money you could easily go for the Lian Li PC-V2120 and an external water cooling setup instead. Then you'd sacrifice the ability to insall two PSUs rather than just a single one but 1500W would probably be enough if you're going for external water cooling anyway. You'd gain HPTX compatibility and get 11 expansion slots for the sake of being more future proof (but without having to pay more than the price of the already expensive M8). It would be easier to maintain also, because not only the cover panels are toolless but also nearly all of the interior parts are. On top of that, there's some good fans (and a fan controller) already included. Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: No USB 3.0 ports on the front side of the M8 seems a bit daft too, IMO.

thats smaller than the cases were talking about and only supports a 240 internally.

stick with the tried and true tj07, 800d, and the lian li cases. go look at the liquid cooling projects section of xtremesystems.com and get a good idea of what case size you want. also depends on what size rads you want.

I was wondering how people fit their 24-pin through those tiny holes of the TJ07's tray..

By simply disassembling 24pin, taking only wires through the hole and reassembling 24pin on the other side.

BTW - tower + cooling for huge amount of money and still ATA optical :)

This is what im planning with the PC-P80

So those letters will be cut out and a large window hole. Im still deciding if i'm gonna make a 120/140mm hole for a fan in the window.

Let me know what you think :)

Personally I hate side fans holes made in windows. They ruin the point of having a window for me. I would rather make more complicated window so it would leave the place for fan in "metal" part of the side panel.

    But it's just my opinion.

Why not go for the PC-P80N instead?

The PC-P80N looks kinda boring to me as it has no LED fans..

Yes but it has 1 more 140 mm fan in the top and USB 3.0 connectors instead of USB 2.0. Personally, I don't really like LED fans because if you use Nvidia 3D Vision it's best to keep your room as dark as you possibly can and besides, it's a Lian Li case and not a Christmas tree.

I always like to have some lighting in my case. besides, the front grill just looks much better with LED imo. and this is a pretty extreme housing.

Im not interested in 3D just yet. also, the cheapest PC-P80N i could find in the dutch shops costs 350€ and it isnt even in stock yet. the original PC-P80 Is 266€

And personally, the only thing that i like about the PC-P80N are the cable management holes in the mobo tray, but i can easily make my own holes :)
