No direct link from here? Is this the same guy?
Or different ?
The package by the different author from MDL site really works for me perfectly. Perhaps a new thread or our builder from here should check and improve his code. His package in here never was able to get installed in my PC, restarts all the time (useless). The other one was flawless.
From what I can tell by checking the batch file and scripts that's mostly to do with the newer versions being very careful about pending operations and files being in-use where a reboot will clean this up first allowing installation to be done uninterrupted though usually it'll work regardless but the VC++ installers themselves will also prompt for a reboot if they can't update an existing file because another program is currently accessing it.
I am a bit curious as to why the script doesn't always clean out the existing versions though, even when manually cleaning them out first, installing, rebooting and then uninstalling via the script some of the x64 versions appear to be skipped over or persist and I can not find any reason for why this is but I assume it's either a OS issue or something with the VC++ runtimes though it's not too problematic as long as you check if they installed correctly or not via the add/remove programs menu and generally the date modified value.
(I guess it's very system specific so not too common but what could cause it?)
Not sure what the above versions installer looks like, seems like it's scripted to run the MSI installers from looking at the MDL example screenshots but that could be wrong.
Either one should have the same result though so just use whichever works best for you and as long as the runtimes are updated it should work just fine.
(Well it's not like you have to update these constantly but it can help.)
A newer version released...and i installed it...for my surprise the PC is kinda smoother than before. Cant explain it.
Yeap, and i guess an old visual installation was bugged for me...and my pc was kinda laggy sometimes..
That fixed the problem i guess....
Someone have to make a new thread for this APP, since its from another developer.
I know right. I'm using it, so far so good.
Defender's been flagging the other MDL guy's pack as a trojan. Probably a false positive but weird anyway.
Visual C++ Installer/Uninstaller 17.12.23
Also new Version: http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_aio_installeruninstaller.html
hmm I know this application but for some reason I prefer myself install all VC++
What do you mean by that?
Probably he likes having 60 Vc redists crawling in control panel.
Hi is simple I make install only necessary for my applications, although I also know one very good tool made by Burfadel member on MDL now continued by Wilenty (that I dont use yet) already mentioned here above right
Burf aka thatguy91 aka Burfadel ...are nicks of the same one developer from Australia standing behind Visual C++ installer (latest V56 version) we're talking about here. Read first post.
oh! yep thanks for the heads up
hey can you share that file! its seems gone from the site!
