    That was a quick turn around from update 48 to 49.

    Thank you for keeping on top of the updates and releasing them in an easy to use package.

    Time to go update mine / family / friends computers :)

    nice this is one the first things I installed on new OS install, followed by the ngen bat (option 1) to fix the weird security issue that happen in new OS, that disappear after installing and running both.

    Though let me understand this 2017 runtimes is just updated 2005 runtimes? as 2005 are updated anymore? or am i confusing things like the original statement you made about confused me XD

    All runtimes of 2013 and earlier are separate, it is only with 2017 that they are directly 'built on' 2015 runtimes.

    This is a handy utility thanks a lot. Newbish questions: Will having the minimum and additional runtimes be installed seperately like that have any impact on performance in applications that use them such as games?

    Imo, C# is easier to learn than C++. I can give you several C# books and one C++ (but this one would be too tough for a beginner).

    Guess you've installed latest Team Speak 3 Client (64bit) and right after TS3 starts that error message above appeared?

    I don't use TS3 but friend of mine is using it (also on Win8.1 x64), last friday he installed TS3 (prior to that latest Visual C++ V49 by Burft/thatguy91 was installed) and same error message like yours right after TS3 starts, he solved it installing the same things like you did.

    My guess it that error message is tied to latest MS's decision to rename Visual C++ 2015 -> 2017 some 10 days ago iirc, upon start TS3 is looking for VC++ 2015, can't find it and here is the error.

    Lot of others are experiencing the same problem not only with Team Speak 3 Clieant but also with some Autodesk software, on TS3 side probably it will be solved with next TS3 update.

    That's*probable.* It's probably a registry reference, Microsoft should have* done this. If I knew the reference pointer they are looking for I should easily be able to add a compatibility workaround.

    No it was something else. Can't for the life of me remember what it was though, I mean it was yesterday so thats about 2-3 lifetimes or so.

    Visual C++ Runtime Installer v50!
    -------------------------------------

    Updated the 2015 (now 2017) runtimes.

    The 2017 runtimes are later versions of the 2015 runtimes with added support for new 2017 features. Therefore, from now on the 2015 runtime set will be known as 2017 runtime.

    Changes:
    • updated the C++ 2017 runtime 14.10.24911.0 --> C++ 2017 runtime 14.10.24930.0

    Visual C++ Redist Installer V50 - https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmGuHbW3zvrBmaF6xFJqdGBCGxghAg

    Also updated the .NET Framework NGEN runner script:
    Easy Ngen (.NET Framework) Runner V5 - https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmGuHbW3zvrBmaF7p-Sz89F916NELg

    As always, if people find later C++ runtimes than are included in the installer, PM me.

    yes I submitted it to Major Geeks actually. this has gotten a lot of attention and downloads.

    Thank you so much Burfadel! this is the best thing ever made since sliced bread. It used to take me ages to install all of them Visual C++ libraries. :stewpid::3eyes:

    As of v50, for the 2017 there are only additional runtimes listed as installed.

    Trying to run an application like Hexchat gives a "VCRUNTIME.140.dll is missing from your computer." error.

    I manually installed the 2015 runtimes from the Hexchat site fixed the problem. (I know they are not the latest 2015 runtimes, it's just a quick fix until it's solved). The 2015 runtimes appeared as separate entries from the 2017 runtimes, but uninstalling them uninstalls the 2017 runtimes at the same time.
