Well, there is something to learn here.
In fairness, I did actually ask if there was a specific reason he wanted to go Intel. I'm not a fanboy of any specific company, just wondered what the rational was because the pricing just isn't there right for Intel in most use cases. I'd be delighted if that changed.
People who been using Intel whole time don't have a reason to switch to AMD. But they have all the reasons to stick what been working for them.
It's like asking monkey why you keep eating banana? Obviously cause banana is delicious and it's all what monkey can comprehend.
The goal is not to sell AMD or Intel, but to figure out OP needs and suggest the rig that fits it needs. Usually once person gets involved by providing feedback on your questions, its more likely to listen what you have to suggest. Big bonus if you can provide slides which shows how CPU A is better than CPU B for the task.
