Just built the rig in my specs, onboard VGA works fine, but just a black screen when I install the GPU. (Screen is black but the monitor is not giving me a "no signal" message.)

    I have tried:
    different GPU
    different PSU
    different monitor
correct source input selected on monitor
    tried DVI and HDMI cables
triple-checked power connections to mobo, CPU, GPU (all secure, none reversed)
    primary display set in bios
tried ram in A1/B1 and A2/B2 (currently in A2/B2 as per Asrock manual)
removed battery, held power button, waited, reinstalled battery
    updated BIOS
disabled intel VGA driver in Device Manager
All CPU and RAM values at default.

Other than the display issue the pc is running perfectly.

Is there any reason I would have a black screen in BIOS due to not having drivers installed for the GPU? I've never had that happen before, but none of my previous builds had onboard VGA, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Have you tried that GTX 1060 in another computer?

In the BIOS/UEFI the monitor has signal, right? I am confused about what you stated - "having a black scren in BIOS".

    Things i would try.
Disabling Intel VGA, and disabling multi monitor output.
Running a live Linux media, to bypass all related to Windows OS idiocracies

I don't have another pc to test the card, but my old card (gtx 580) in this machine has the same result.

What I mean is with onboard VGA I have good display, but with GPU installed and connected to monitor I get a black screen in BIOS/UEFI and Windows.
