I saw this at station drivers website.
depends memory mark size and modell gtx 970 if not exact model artefact on screen (if you update bios)
just taked an quickly look at st-drvs site and noticed this Description : Bios Version 84.04.2F.00.F1 (10/29/14) MSINV316MH.182
so.. is dedicated for MSI versions .. must be released to fix fan spin issue (only on MSI cards)
Thanks for the note/update, updating now.
You're wrong. This is the new bios http://www.station-drivers.com/inde...-GeForce-GTX-970-Bios-Version-84.04.31.00.F9/ I've flashed my MSI Gaming 4G with it. ID's matched. So far so good.
Yeap, i flashed mine too.It seems that now it uses the ''gaming clock speeds'' without changing it manually via MSI Gaming App.
That is from gold edition, notice the fan speed is 1300, instead of 900 for standard gaming .
Also the clocks have been raise 2 bins along with max clock table (1455>1481 ) .
MSI have released new version for normal 970 gaming 182, 184 .
I have no idea of whats changed between 182 and 184 , 182 was a fan fix for 125 ones (orginal)
Link from MSI ?
Best to use there update tool as they have like 4 PCB versions of bios .
Found it :
So this is the newest for the standard gaming, right ?
Well I guess it was at time of post, not sure as of today .
I never ran or installed there update live tool .
But again it depends on SN# , If 182 was right for your card, I guess 184 is ok .
his card was S/N 602-V316-09SB1410114937-7OL
bold is important part
Here's the latest for my card(NV316-03S):
yup, 184 for all these
09S / 03S / 010
and for evga gtx 970 acx 1.0
is safe update bios?
Not really a good idea to flash an eVGA card with an MSI bios. You risk bricking your card.
oh thanks, only asked. i know nothing about update bios of video's card
You should always check with your graphics card vendor to see if there is an updated bios created specifically for your graphics card. Using bios releases from other cards always carries a higher risk of bricking your card.
What is this fan problem i keep hearing about which required a bios fix? The only thing I noticed on my card is that in idle, when the fans are at full stop, every 36 seconds the fans spin up just a tiny bit, just for one second. Is this the problem that people are having or a more serious one?
that is what it fixes, it will no longer spin up a bit every so ofter with 344.16+ drivers .
