it broke boost on my system, had to revert back to 5220.
Turn off 10bit Tagging support in the bios, its not supposed to be enabled by default
did asus forget about b350 strix? normally it gets bios update same time as the prime board does...
Just installed the 5407 bios and so far so good, everything works well. I'm not noticing much of a difference between this one and the last one (5220 I believe). The description of the new bios on the ASUS site says "Improve System Performance". But if there's any improvement then it has to be pretty negligible. Maybe it's 'snappier' to some extent but it might be a placebo effect. I haven't experienced any problems though, that's the important part.
In post #42 above from Astyanax, mentioned to turn off 10bit Tagging support in the bios because it's not supposed to be enabled by default. I did look around in the bios for that option and couldn't find such a thing as "10bit Tagging" anywhere. I simply don't have it, at all. So if people got the latest bios and they see that option then I don't know what's going on. My mobo is of course the right one for the bios, the ASUS B350 Plus. If people experience issues with the latest bios at least make sure you got the right motherboard model for it.
5602 is up
The 5602 is the best bios for the moment, with this bios my 2x4 Corsair Vengeance LPX (CMK8GX4M2A2400C14 micron A die) can run to 3200 (settings in the jpg below)
So I have upgraded my memory with 2x8 G.Skill Flare X for AMD (F4-3200C16-8GFX Samsung C die) can run to 3200 as well (settings in the jpg below)
The memory has been tested with TM5
Thought this thread was dead but no
PRIME B350-PLUS BIOS 5606
Support WIN 11 installed or upgraded
also according to cpuz this bios has AGESA Combo-AM4 220.127.116.11
interface was changed some for my bios with the update..
slide switches got replaced with pull down menus
added information for m.2 drives.
Version 6026 Beta Version
I guess this is to fix the stuttering issue
* It also adds a lot of menu options not sure what they do but they were not their before
I'm not sure if this enables support for zen 3 processors its the latest AGESA so you would think it dose but can't find anyone to confirm it
I can confirm the R5 5600 works in this board now so I guess all zen 3 is supported
The thread that never dies
another new bios 6042 Beta Version, Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 18.104.22.168
6042 no longer a Beta, I assume they just removed the word Beta from the website.
I`ve been reading for quite some time now bout a Bios update allowing for the use of the 5000 series cpus in the B350/B350-F mobos. What`s taking Asus so long?
as far as I can see they have given support for B350 since May what board do you have?
Asus B350-F. There is no new bios allowing usage of the 5000 series cpus.
Yes. I don`t see any Ryzen 5000 Zen 3 Support Bios for the B350-F as of yet.
Version 6042 supports ZEN 3
Really? Odd. Cause no one is posting any vids or posts of their success using the newer cpus on the B350-F. Guess I`ll have to take the plunge. Thx.
