Oki I tested last 2 versions (one from yesterday and latest one you posted now) again, and OverDrive3 tab is now greyed out in both.

But in Overclocking Settings section i can enable driver level overclock just fine. Both underclock and overclock.

I tried 620mhz on core (580default) and 720mhz on mem (702def). No artifacts and 3dmark score went up with almost 300 (default 8950 and 9231 with oc). So that works.

Can you please quickly explain how OverDrive3 is different from x1950pro CCC Overdrive tab? thx a lot

    Hi! No problem.

I Download latest version (installer date is 01-23 09:03)

Overlocking is Driver level, OK. ATI hot key poller ENABLED (not killed).

    MEM
Default (580/700). I click MEM button.
Great, mem 780Mhz and no problem...and go, 810Mz no error, but on 817Mhz found many errors. ATT searching maximum frequency...817...810...817...after few times, to appear on screen many colors dots, after monitor switched OFF state, and not back (freeze). Switched off my computer, and ON.

    GPU
Default (580/700). I click GPU button.
After 630 (or 640?) MHz monitor switched OFF state, and never back (freeze). I think VPU recover not working :(. Switched off my computer, and ON.

    Else.
Offtopic sorry, but short question, which max recommended temperature on x1950Pro GPU?
Overlocking setting fan table lines values "where does he come from"? From card BIOS? Too...if I click auto fill, I get new values, these values "where does he come from"?

    Thank you!

Exactly 1950Pro doesn't support OverDrive 3,but using CCC you can unlock it and use, but ATT can not work with this kind of OverDrive because this is not real OverDrive 3, so the only way to overclock such boards is to use another undocumented Drive Level overclocking method. Now in last beta version ATT can detect is current OverDrive is real OverDrive 3 or emulated. Any way, if now driver level works without problems - its good.

Default values are from BIOS, Auto fill is just precalculated by me values

    Thank you answer!

    See these :
    default
    auto_fill

Well, I see very big different.
Interesting, my GPU max recommended temperature is 100C, and max cooler rpm % is 48...

Well, bug in beta(s), under install procedure, I click on checkbox "run ati tray tools now" (X), but ATT not run when install finished. Manual run is OK.

    Thank you.

@ totya does overdrive function with you?

with me it does not function, why not? I have one asus x1950pro
must be hot key poller activated or deactivates?
does CCC have to be installed, or not?

anyhow the grey field (overdrive3) is not to be used

    hope times for assistance

Hi! I'm not ATT developer, only stupid user...se this:

    read this

    Not.
Now ATT only driver mode overlocking supported with 1950Pro (with latest beta works for me too with asus card), I think h.k.p. disabled only low level overlocking required.
I not used, don't like. But ATT is perfect, great application, much better than CCC, if you use ATT, why want CCC with overdirve? :)

Yes, you right. Autofill is old options and thous values are better for preX1xxx video boards. I'm thinking about hiding this button for x1xxx owners.

I will check it. This is new installation procedure, so may be I forgot something :)

Read my post, please. No support for OverDrive on your board, it can be enabled or lets say emulated by installing CCC. But why you need it? ATT can overclock your board in Drive level mode without any problems. Lets say, ATT can do OverDrive job for you.

    Hi dear developer,

I found simple bug in ATT.

    I select second OpenGL profile.
    select_opengl_profiles
    This is OK.

But, if I see Direct3D profiles...
    direct3d_profiles
Bug, default checking is not visible.

Hey Mr.Adams let's get this info flowing.

I have noticed that SO many people are driving you crazy and then not providing the info/results that u need exp. for the 1950 pro "RV570" . Then they dont even use it and let u know for the most part. We atleast need one test of each brand. Mr Adams made 5 beta releases in a week just because of how it must have bothered him that so many 1950pro owners where stuck ( well somewhat) . But come on guys get it going so he can get this working.I signed up here but like many have read the site for sometime.Well I am going to get my sysinfo and Dnld/test my ATi (brand) 1950pro and give u some real results.I can test what u need and might send my next 1950pro ( 2nd 4 Crossfire) if u can return it as sent and split the shipping or something.Anyway I will do what I can and I would really like to learn more about this so maybe at some point i can help more.Like when they ask for a feature JUST for theirself but IF i ask i will help anyway I can.

    Hi Ray,
first much compliments for your program. Now a question.
At the moment i know that ATI drivers (except mobility drivers) don't support "1:1 fixed aspect ratio" on LCD displays, that is for example 1280*1024 get streched on a 1600*1024 monitor instead of adding black bars.
There can be a way you can do a "fix" to this like Nvidia drivers in order to make the "fixed aspect ratio" working on non-mobility drivers too?
    Thank you

Hey all well I keep hearing about Driver Lever OC on the 1950 pro but nothing about low level , driver level is not working for me but low level is on both mem and gpu. The card is a retail boxed ATi reference(ATi made) 1950pro 256mb.Its workin ok , Overdrive is not working for me but I know not a lot about it.I hear that the 1950pro asus card has no overdrive but does the ATi? It works just like my 1950xtx in ccc 7.1. I can get 845 on mem now with the card strait out the box No Mods yet. Gotta love ATi and Best Buy cause it had the BC12 mem.

Very good question. But i doubt this is the place to ask it, so lets start a Aspect Ratio Fix Thread and see what our good Mr.Ray have to say about it :)

2 Blackhawk44M - Overclocking 1950Pro in Driver Mode are already done and was tested by a few guyz. I don't know why it doesn't work for you :)

Sorry man. But this is out of my abilities. I even unable to make full support for new x1xxx boards in TV Out/Display module because , as I dais, I has no information about how it should work, I don't have a lot of hardware to test all situations. So do not expect a lot from me in this :) I'm already doing my best to give the people better choice than CCC. But I'm alone on this road :)

May someone can Help me !

Radeon X1950 PRO AGP and fan speed question...

Hallo, I used RaBiT to change my fan speed but if I flash the modified file, the fan speed won't change. I set 0-35 Grad to 5% but the fan runs fast (so fast I think as the dafault is 40%). Any ideas how? Thanks!

Can't you look at the mobility drivers (kinda of hacking it) in order to discover how "black bar resizing" is implemented?

On the other way you could just trap the 4:3 output, mapping it on an up-nearest 16/9 (or 16/10) resolution. For example on a 800*600 output you could map the 800*600 to a 960*600 (with black bars on sides) frame and send it to the monitor.
