Wow that's freakin epic. In the Scopio area.. It says AM3r2. I'm assuming this is a modified AM3 socket?.. I'm also assuming that the "leo" will operate on AM3? can anyone confirm this?
ye but I have a feeling it might not be a real OC as there has been a history of people faking their OC for AMD processors. However, not too surprised if it is real as a lot of people know how the Phenom II is very overclockable. deltatux
Leo should be on AM3, Thuban is said to be AM2/AM2+ compatible. AM2+ was previously called AM2r2 (revision 2?) and later called AM2+. So Bulldozer should be AM3+ and backwards compatible with AM3.
Whats an APU? (shown at mainstream 2011) and from 6cores (enthusiast 2010) to more then 4 core 2011? a little odd well, seeing the picture show 1.824Vcore for it i dont think anyone will be using this at home, even as a super-overclocked rig. maybe for contests, etc...
Nice! The new stepping seems to be a good improvement, better overclock and at a low voltage. I´m also curious about the AM3r2 on the roadmap... If the Bulldozer is compatible with current AM3 boards, that will a very good move by AMD.
Hyperthreading is just an intel tech so far thats it so dont expect to see it on there. Btw who actually benefits from Hyperthreading I had no use of it still in some cases it shown to be worse on then off anyways key word some times
That's not stock, that's overclocked. It's a core revision that looks like it's better for overclocking.
