Network W11?

    The other week I upgraded to W11. Its W11 on top of W10, so not a clean install.
    I am struggling to understand why W11 networking is so crap.
    W10 just found every thing and you either accepted or rejected.
    W11 cannot find crap.
    I need to find my aging Buffalo linkstation above all else.
    Does any one have a guide on how to navigate W11 networking effectively or (summat).

    Does your Linkstation use SMB 1.0? This is disabled by default in W10+, but may be enabled manually.
    Otherwise I could think of your network being considered as "public", it should be "private".
    Then you should check "file and printer sharing" is enabled. But first ensure your network is set to "private"!
    That should be it. Outgoing ping should always be possible, worst case use IP instead of the Linkstation's hostname.

    Kiss, kiss. TY buddy it was SMB 1.0 enabling it in windows worked.
