Nonsense, people these days go out their way to volunteer their personal data for the chance to win a crap prize on social media.

Do I like that we are a marketing statistic, not particularly but I really dont care as it's just not that important.

It's never a single person that really matters. The issue is what is all that data can do collectively.

shoove a kitkat up in your ass :)
    With love, obviously.

I thought Mr.Snowden made it damn clear about why people should be concerned about own privacy.
It's not about being simple human and having nothing to hide.

Which is... privacy? Isn't this the essence of all this? We have disagreed with Sverek on a lot of stuff, but this returns to the fact that we don't know what happens to all that data when Netgear gets it.

Ye seems to be on the latest firmware only, i still run 1.0.7.x.

No need to update cuz everything works just fine.

I'm also using 1.0.7.x. , I will not be updating the router. Auto installing firmware is a bad idea on any router, collecting data is also a bad idea. If I have an issue I can always send them my logs. I do not need them to gather anything automatically. No issues with 1.0.7.x . No issues whatsoever(and no data collecting or auto updating the firmware)
