Good! Now insecure people who have no idea what they got Netflix for will know what to watch.

And here's me being nostalgic for when they had a recommendation algorithm that took quality into account. Not just a list of garbage that has a 90% match simply because it matches the genres you watch.

It amazes me how the genre primus of streaming is around for years and still is tinkering at the basic interface and even missing some rather easy to implement features (like deleting stuff from your "continue watching" list, filtering stuff out that you have already seen sometimes doesn't work either, etc.).

    Another "Unification of thinking" tool...
The top 10 are not the 10 best... by far.

Where are the movies and series with scenari that fit more than 100 lines?
They are all hiden deep in this provider and most of them are cut or speed up to fit the unification of the format or to not bother minority that might be offusqued... A pure massacre ...
And an extra of 2 euro on the price at the end of the month (so it is now the most expensive provider if you want 4K !!!)

This is one thing that makes me question all that algorythm crap in the first place, I only get shown stuff that's similar on what I search for. So after a while, you have seen what you wanted, what's similar and still good, and what's similar (in netflix' opinion, not really though), but bad. You can't delete anything out of your "continue watching" list even though you already give it a thumbs down, you only see stuff you already know, and the algorythm by design doesn't offer you stuff you might like because it's, in netflix' opinion, not similar enough to stuff you've seen.

So if you watched e.g. all Rambo movies on netflix, he will probably never offer you A Beautiful Mind, even though you might like the movie. That only shows how bad it's actually curated.

There was an article about it few week ago, it's not "missing" feature, it is feature that would lower the time you pass on Netflix if implemented, same as the time between 2 episodes etc etc... For it's duty it is really well done for zombification (see i can found positive thing about Netflix lol).

Yes that's probably true, my brain's probably not zombified 100% yet, so it still leaves behind a sceptical / criticising feeling :D

The 1st Rambo is a wonderfull movie, (the other are just blockbuster to make money or go to trashcan) and is part of the movies that are so touched by Netflix that the DVD is better...

    - "streamed 4K" isn't 4K, it's heavily compressed down to 1/4 of a 1080p bluray size
    - 4K on all the recent movies isn't 4K but 2K, especially the ones heavy on CGI like avengers which looks super blurry if you take screenshots (because of rendering times)
    - and yeah don't ask me for a source but I've read and heard that they actually re-cut or censor some movies for streaming, don't know more than that I don't stream I'm a collector
    - btw...one dolby atmos language track takes 4+Gbs on a bluray, abusive much for only sound ? that's the size of a dvd movie ! didn't look at it but highly doubt you get the same dolby atmos sound in streaming or it would mean they compressed the movie even more to fit those monster "audio" in there

Is it a real list with actual usage data or a list where production companies can buy a slot like "yea, on fifth place we have this weirdass show that nobody watches but that we got $10k for by company X"

yes, as return to the future and so many other (sometime you have more than 10 min missing on movie lengh compared to original one) also they speed up the credit.
sometime it's the cover of a comic (return to the future), or in Rambo it is everything about the double play of USA in vietnam, because usa should be the good one and vietnam shouldn't be a dirty war... Hopefully there is still physical media to correct it ;)

    You are totaly right
It is 2k for most movies or an horrible 4K compressed.
Even those who really does 4K like Apple can't do it at the quality of real 4K (physical or downloaded) the size of the stream compared to local one can give you a comparative of how they are different things.
It's the same in music some sell you digital music in flac 24bit 96kHz, but when you listen the same in flac 24bit 192 kHz you hear that it isn't the same quality at 1st note of the song, but it need better bandwith and bigger storage.

Well I couldn't care less about speeded up credits tbh, but editing movies, I didn't know that.

No interest in top 10 lists.

I will say that Netflix has many high quality shows. Most not top 10 material, but I generally prefer non-top 10 things.
