Netflix halts supporting Samsung and other televisions from 2010 and 2011

    Hmmm i guess removing drm is not even an option they considered , so all they are saying is ....hey your tv is capable of playing our content but is not capable to run our drm so sorry no support for you .....

    Not sure what the big deal is. Literally any device you hook up to a TV these days is probably going to do Netflix, and TV sticks frequently go on sale for $20-30. Plus there are a lot more streaming services these days than in 2010, that old Smart TVs probably are never going to support.

    SmartTV is a mild convenience (sometimes). Other times I actually miss when TVs just took in an input and displayed it, because SmartTVs can crash occasionally plus usually take a while to power on.
