Im running an 1080gtx and wondered if this should be set to clamp or allow? I run 16xaf in most games but i've read in a few places ngative lod is bugged for newer graphics cards?

Basically should i leave it at allow "its default" or set it to clamp.

It doesn't make a difference for newer cards.

set "allow" for those games that don't support anisotropic filtering

    globally set clamp.

It doesn't matter. I don't know why they even keep that option in the CPL since it's not doing anything for any DX11+ GPU.

It unless doesn't restrict the negative values? For example TextureMipBias=-1 in Witcher 3

Yeah, when they implemented the auto-lod option iirc. They broke clamp. And it's been listed in the driver notes ever since. So, just leave it.
