I need you guys to tell me flat-out if I have any chance whatsoever in becoming some kind of actor, No not a Hollywood blockbuster sensation but just enough to say I make a decent living at it.I do NOT have anything against any actors in the current field but for me people like Robert Deniro,Johnny Depp, Al pacino, ect guys like this are very hard to come by. My goal would be to get something like in a Fighting movie,I have a good build and LOTS of experience in boxing and mma so this would be natrual for me. Things I cannot do since I have a family, porn is out of the question lol. I saw a guy named Jason momoa and I do not think this guy has really anything over me in the Physical aspect, I cannot act and have never tried it before but I have a few UGLY ass friends of mine I would not even buy cat-food from these guys have stared in commercials ect.... Like I said I know its a long-shot but do I have any chance whatsoever? My brother-in-law lives in Hollywood actually and has even worked on the set of walking-dead but.....You know you cannot depend on anyone to help you so I just want your guys honest opinion despite all this being a long-shot anyway but a mans gotta try right? Thank you guys.

Keep in mind there is no rhyme or reason for the choices made of who is picked for a role. It can be as simple as having that certain look that is being aimed for or having the particular body build for the part they are looking for. It could be that you have the talent and then sum but the producers and director cannot picture you in the part. The stage may love you but the camera hate you. With that being said, unless you put yourself out there, you will never know. Good luck and try and remember us poor little folk here @ Guru3d when you make it to the big time. Have had several friends on both sides of the biz; writers, bit actors, camera operators, prop builders, set builders, and rough-in artists. I used to be on the accounting end. Still in accounting but left the biz for family reasons. It's hard work but lots of fun. Go for it. The talent these people have is amazing. If they take a shine to you, learn from them. The extremely talented ones have quirks you never knew existed. Their minds just work on a different plane.
Almost every activity, any business, I reckon acting in particular, unless you're gods favorite, you cant dip your toes into and expect decent results. You're either wholly in it, or don't bother trying. That you're asking at guru3d, is kinda telling. And it's crazy that you would compare yourself with the guy who starred in Baywatch when he was 20 years old. That guy is a fu**ing pro, bro In short I wouldn't bother trying. That is, unless you're feeling strongly about it.
It's talent and hardwork, I'll give you that. Being actor is a very stressful work. It's not just about looking beautiful in films but surviving all moving around and redoing same set over and over again until producer is happy. It also being able to easily manipulate your emotions. Being able to laugh, cry, shout, rage whenever you told to. Do you have it in yourself? My honest opinion, it's not about how you look (I didn't bother checking your photos), but if you really understand what it is being an actor and if you still want it. You seem to only look at physical appearence, ie. "my ugly friends have been in commercials" etc. I'd imagine knowing how to act is the primary target you know. Only one way to find out whether you can make it.
So your primary qualification is you're buff and you can box, that your ugly friends get ad spots. Go to theatre school if you're serious, if you want to go down the route of ultra badass muscle guy actor then they're usually coming from something else, like a boxing career, football career, etc Maybe don't try to get to hollywood straight away, i've seen a fair few actors come from small parts in my country then make their way up, getting those small parts by being part of acting colleges or making youtube channels for acting Unless you want to have a go at reality tv and probably ruin your life that is
I'm not so sure, I randomly saw some requirements for a male porn actor a while back. Stuff like getting a hard-on on a moment's notice even if you don't have any incentive in front of you was the main requirement. I for one can't do that at command. I guess it depends on how stubborn one's dick is haha.
Well thank you for all the advice- I can be a little cocky at times so forgive me on that aspect. I did not mean I am better looking or stronger then Jason moma ( i probbly am ) but thats besides the point. I was just kinda suprised at my buddys being able to land a few commercials ( no they cannot even act ) I am serious lol. I have no acting experience whatsoever, never stared in a play or anything for that matter but I am pretty quick to pick-up on certin acting styles I can copy almost all the guys from 80s and 90s, and as with everything else in life you get out of it what you put into it I relize that much at least. If I do make it I will NOT forget about you guys dont worry lol. I will give it a shot who the hell cares right?!
I never watched Bay-watch all I know is Pam anderson was in it and Haselhof (knight rider dude) What I meant was I did not see that much talent in that guy honestly, sure hes good looking dude thats fine and built thats fine too, one size does not fit all lol. To me actors are...... Johnny Depp for example is my idol, Guys like Stallone that cannot act for jack-crap is what I wonder about lol. Sure schwarzenneger just got lucky being one of the 1st guys with a great body took a shot at acting and it just worked for some strange reason, I think he is a HORRIBLE actor haha.
