Just finished moving my PC to a new case with the same parts + a 580gtx, having boot problems.

it wont post. at all. I press the power button, the front power LED on the case blinks, and the PSU fans sounds like it's speeding up then slowing down.

I tried putting my old 4870 back in also and its doing the same thing.

Sound like something got damaged during the move or wasn't inserted securely. Check that ram, sata cables, power plugs are all connected securely. Is the computer making a series of beeps?(check that the motherboard speaker is attached)

Had 2 friends with the same problem

In their cases they both forgot to plug in the 4-8pin 12v atx power supply usually located in the top left of the motherboard besides the cpu, which it is powering.

This error will cause the pc lights to go on, but it wont boot, basically nearly the same as if the cpu was missing entirely.

And as scr3am suggest above, check all cables to be sure. but my guess is the 4-8pin atx power cable.
