I just put in a BFG GeForce 6200 OC (running @ 4X AGP on my board) 256 MMB DDR video card. I am not sure if I notice much if any difference between it and my old card, a GeForce 5700 Ultra FX 4X AGP 128 MB.

I also find it funny that an OC overclocked card comes with no built in utility to actually do any changes.

Any opinions on which is the better card for my system specs, or was the "upgrade" a waste of money $179.99 US.

    Thanks -

a low 6 series like 6200 may have similar rsults than a high fx series like 5700 ultra. I thing 6200 is better, but i dont know much does your new card improve your game experience.
6200 will be better for newer games, thats for sure.

Yea, 6200 is a very low budget gaming card and it's not a huge jump at all with FPS if any with an FX 5700, but much better Image Quality with better DX 9.0 options.

The 6200 has similar performance to a GeForce4 Ti. If you want to play games noticabley faster, then a 6600 GT is your card for you and it's about $220 USD or so.

    Good luck!

p.s did you pay $180 US for a 6200???? Sorry man, you got jipped, try getting you money back or at least trading it for a 6600 GT, preferably Leadtek, Galaxy, eVGA, PNY, BFG, MSI or Asus in prefable order. Leadtek have always made the best Nvidia cards for OCing and reliability.

I can testify to the fact that Leadtek makes GREAT cards. I have a 5700LE that is fully capable of running any game on the market at ATLEAST Medium settings at 1024X768. I run Doom 3 flawlessly on these settings. I also have a Leadtek FX 5200 on my backup computer and it's rock solid as well.

Running a 6600 GT in AGP 4x mode MAY slow it down.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably take it back to Best Buy and return it as I see not much difference between that and my older card which worked fine.
