XP's awesome, just as fast as 9x for gaming. XP pro does have multi processor support. So XP pro would actually be the best for you. The speed of 9x, the stability of 2k, all in one lump sum.

I would pretty much go along with that last post...XP IS awesome!!
Very smooth, fast, and most importantly, stable. There are a few games that will crash, but many others play just fine...Diablo2 gives me problems, it'll crash after about 10 mins, as will U.T But Q3, F1 Champ. Season 200, Fifa200, CMR2 all run perfectly!! As well, and in some cases (CMR2) better
All 2D games, AoE2, C&C Tib.Sun, Starcraft, Diablo, Ceasar 3, Pharoah, etc, all run perfectly.
I'm well pleased with XP.....plus all it's new 'goodies', and the new look...and it's driver support is fantastic - pretty much plug something in, and it knows right off the bat, what it is, and installs it for you Installing my HP 932 printer took all of 5 seconds!!!
If in doubt, dual-boot with 98/ME.

XP pro and 2000pro are the only that support multiproc's
XP is the best for gaming.
2000 lacks in the digital arts
but will still play all games
XP is quicker though.
Solution: GET THEM BOTH AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.

If you are gonna buy them, buying both is a waste of money !

How is buying both a waste of money. that way if you don't like one you have the other. and your not pissed off because you took someones word for it that it is good.
