I set the details to " very high" and nothing! It's like anisotropic filtering isn't active, like the details are set to " low" ...i can't play like this!... oooh..and the wood is white!

    Can anyone tell me why????

Try installing 84.21WHQL, with good IQ and then set your image settings to blend,i.e. performance.
Now make sure to turn on Antialiasing to 2X and then anisotropic filtering to 4X!
And leave the rest to their original positions.

Uninstall any previous patches you might have, and download and install the following in the given order:

    1. Install the 1.1 patch.
    2. Install the 1.3 patch
    3. Install the 1.31 patch
    4. Install the 1.32 patch
    5. Install the 1.33 patch

Reboot, defragment and play Far Cry.

By the way:I would not recommend playing Far Cry at 4xAA with a 6600. Up the resolution to 1280*1024 and use either 2xAA with 2xAF and all settings medium or, play with 0xAA and 4xAF with most settings on max or high.

EDIT: Scratch that. You have a non-GT version of the 6600 correct? If you do you should play at 1024*768 resolution (with maybe 2xAA) to get playable framerates.
