I can't seem for the life of me get gpu folding to work. it always seem to mess up say wait to download core. after spending half an hour reading throw the installation guide and forums no real luck to get it working right. The guide says I have to sick in -forcegpu nvidia_fermi to get it to work "C:\Users\SputNick7\AppData\Roaming\Folding@home-gpu\-forcegpu nvidia_fermi" is how I have it in my start in box. and it keeps says GPU - F@H Core download error (#2) waititing before retry then it will go on making more number waitings it doesn't even give me a log info just comes up asking if I want to create a new one. drivers I have installed are 259.32 if there is something I am missing would like to know Thanks for your time.
Are you using the GPU2 or GPU3 client? For the the 400 series cards you want the GPU3 client & there should be no need to add any extra commands to your short cut, just install and run. It should try and download core 15.
Hi Yopkin1, Have you read my guide on GPU Setup (link in sig). Also you are the first one I have come across that is using Driver 259.32. The recommended one is 258.96. Also please post your FAHlog so we can see what is happening.
So after abit more reading and reinstalling the GPU3. I had to delete the folder competely out of my documents folder. I had crossfire 5850s installed before and tryed to fold on with them. but all seems to be working well now. I will say with a 825 overclock on the core and 2000 on the mem the thing is fast blows my cpu out of the water. Might not have that set up right ether. Remember that overclocking the shaders helps more than overclocking the memory.
