So yea, im going to buy a camera but dont want to spend more than $320. I want a compact camera and was looking at this Lumix DMC-FX35K But i cant find any reviews on it. So anyone got any thoughts? Or Can you recommend something better? The more compact the better. I like to take macro shots and Image Quality is important to me.

    Thanks in advance!

Those cameras will all be the same. If you want macro and IQ is important, buy any DSLR with a macro lens, the results will be 100x better than any compact/Ultra zoom can ever achieve.

Maybe someone else can advice you on similarly priced compacts, but it doesn't really matter, they're "all the same".

Around £500-600 on a camera and then around £400 on the lens.

You said IQ was important for you... I thought you meant that. But never mind, enjoy the Lumix.

It is, its just i cant afford to spend $1400 on a camera right now. :\

If you can find a point-and-shoot thats stylish, and has great IQ let me at it!

I think the Lumix will be fine at that price. However, i would go with a more well known make like Canon or Nikon or even Fuji.

Eclap has got a little off the mark there. We know that DSLR's are better quality (with decent lenses), but not everyone can afford one. That doesnt mean that a point and shoot wont be good quality.
Its like someone asking 'I need a quality car', and then someone responding with 'well buy a Rolls Royce then'. Not everyone can afford one, but we all know that they are good quality. But that doesnt mean other cars aren't decent.

Just keep in mind that a 7MP camera will most probably have better quality than a 10MP camera.
Don't fall victim of the mp race ;)

I recommend the CANON PowerShot SD880 IS
I know four people with the 870 version and love it.
the 880 comes with a few more perks and is still within your budget

Alright, so here are the few im looking at right now-

    Cannon SD880 IS

    Panasonic Lumix

And those are pretty much it, i like the look of the Lumix, but the Cannon seams to be the better choice here.

Having experience of older models of both I'd say Canon by a small margin.
