I got $165. What card should I get. I was looking at the MSI gtx650 ti boost.
if you can stretch your budget a little look at the 7950 at newegg. some are under $200 after rebate
I second the 7950 it's a beast card for the price.
I'm not going to recommend the 7950, but I'll pick you a good one out of the ones on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026
$199.99 after rebate, I know it's a bit more than you can afford, but other's said it's the best choice in around your budget so...
EDIT: I can't believe you guys are recommending an AMD card in the nVidia section, kinky
price constraints, a 650ti boost is an ok card but the 7950 is the better value. I would of recommended a 760 but they are more expensive than the 7950
according to AnandTech, the 7950 is on par or beats the 650 ti in certain games.
is that a joke cus that bench is a total ahhihalation (spelling?) of the 650ti boost
Going by Newegg prices, you could get HD 7870 (similar to GTX 660, faster than GTX 650 Ti Boost) for 160$ AR or PowerColor HD 7950 PCS+ for 180$ AR.
Closest match from NVIDIA would be GTX 660 starting at 167$ AR. Non reference version for 179$, which is bad bang 4 buck considering 7950 costs the same.
He must have mistaken 7950 with 7850 p:
yeah sorry. auto correct on my phone doesn't allow for sarcasam.
haha fair enough
Holy Sheep S**T Batman!!! That's a Great Deal!!!...
Hell has frozen over. But at the price that you can pick a 7950 up for now it would be dumb not to.
Meh, it was always a good card and that's why I was recommending it in the past. I did promise to myself I won't do that anymore, because it upset a few people. Anyway, OP get back to us and if you can't afford a 7950, gurus will help you out with something more suited for your budget
Literally just got a GTX 760 this week. It's a great price/performance pick if you want to go with NVidia.
Price only dropped by $20 here. Totally sucks.
Are you still thinking about crossfire? Or will the new 290X tempt you?
+1 for 7950!
7950 is much faster than 760 when both are overclocked.
