bet it wont have TrackIR support
Probably not, wish it could make use of Kinect.
MS have already announced they will release the SDK for the PC, but while it would be great, i don't expect it to make it into the PC version, and tbh probably not the PS3/360 versions either.
The camera of the helmet moves automatically so the whole IR support is probably not going to happen.
If they could make a more simlike version of gt5 it would be amazing..the ps3 graphically is junk now in its capability. Even though gt5 looks great racing...stop the car and looks at the way the backgrounds are made up...they are flat cheap models, the trees are cardboard cutouts with 1 or 2 axis...thats why the PC needs this game..if they could somehow create a better gt5 than gt5 (doesnt need 1000 cars to win)...problem is, the NFS replay camera angles have never been as polished as GT's, nor do the roads\grass look any bit real even on the new screen shots...hoping its as good as I need it to be though.
GT5 on the PC = The beginning of DOOMSDAY
Reread my comment, I was meaning that nfs needed to be more gt5 detail oriented and simlike, not that gt5 needed to come to PC...guess I worded it wrong. EA just needs a few more super detail oriented japenese guys to fix what EA forgets to notice.
For those worried about the physics being to arcadey read this article, it feels good to know that they had input from 3 GT drivers during dev.
wow, those tracks look amazing!
Agreed, The screen shots looks amazing.
Adding to these detailed impressions, Johnny also got some answers from Andy Tudor that reveal some new facts:
- There will be no demo version of Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed
- The title does not simulate tyre wear or fuel consumption, there will be no qualifying either.
- There will be an improved livery editor with an emphasis on race car style design.
No demo once again...
And the new Pagani Huayra is shift2 exclusive.
new engine for this one? any DX10 or 11 effects, or same old engine on DX9 ...
No, it willbe on DX9
so same old ISI/GTR engine again huh .... sure hope it looks better than shift 1, not that shift looked terrible but its looking quite dated now.
Maybe they have improved it a little bit but mostly it looks like shift1
You think? Best looking racer on the market by a long way IMO
dont get me wrong, i think it still looks good, but it is looking dated dont you think?
The screenshots and videos look pretty good IMO...
wow they look good, I hope each car sounds different lol
At least they dont use those lousy synthesized sounds like tdu does.
The Pagani sounds amazing, best sounds in a racing game imho.
Shift 2 should be interesting. I liked the first one, lets just hope that helmet cam isnt the only "inovation" the put in it.
