30fps? No money from me, sorry. Next one plz.
I have to agree with you
I still don't understand why they're doing this. NFS Hot Pursuit also had an 30FPS cap. And they at least removed it after thousands of complaints.
They know that it's a bad idea to cap frames for a PC game. Yet, they do it again.
Will be fun to see them bitching about poor PC sales afterwards.
Until next week Ive had to use my phone for internet. Even though its unlimited 4g(hdspa+), its only around 4-6mbs where I live. Took for ever to download bf3 and then the 9+gb updates. I get 50mb cable next week when I moved. Im so excited. I think Im gonna get another 2tb and use that for games, and buy an external 3tb for storage double to my internal 2tb.
NFS The Run, not HP
YES, we remember NFS: HP 2 (2002) has up to 30 fps while "new" NFS: HP (2010) 60 fps.
Lucky you, I'm stuck with wi-fi and get around 1mbps So downloading games is turning into a damn misery over here.
Does this game use Frostbite 3?
If so, I guess it will have Mantle support, right?
The engine supports it but the game doesn't as far as I'm aware.
Otherwise you would see AMD advertising the game.
30Gb and 30fps.
if it locked to 30fps, I'LL SKIP IT WITHOUT A BIT! we playing on pc, we don't want any conosolized xp.
'fraid I must join the "not buying until it's 60fps" brigade.
I mean... on a racing game? Really?
I suppose, that this comment is gonna get me killed, but I don't mind 30 fps in a racing game... I've pretty much always played with that framerate, since my previous pc was super crap and I haven't tried many racing games with this pc.
I presume, that most of you are gonna say, that I don't understand the difference until I haven't played nicely on 60fps.
maybe there will be a patch for it to unlock 60 fps, just like the run.
Well it is hardly a racing game, more of a crash fest, but 30fps still sucks. Not interested..
NFS Rivals looks better on PS4 than it does on PC according to Polygon.
30fps now this.
Meh I'll pass on this I guess, Great way of totally nurfing a pc centric engine.
@ Kezen - Sounds a bit implausible to me but then it really depends on the developer, who in this case are Ghost Games (who?!?). The better ones, who are clearly not Ghost Games, would cater to the strengths of the PC with a range of tweakble graphics settings (what's the betting this one has resolution, v-sync and nothing else?), an uncapped framerate and assets that are either on a par with the next-gen versions or better. I would not expect a 30 fps racing game to look worst on the PC. That said, I have no plans to buy this game as every other NFS game, that isn't developed by Criterion, is usually not that great, e.g. NFS: Undercover, NFS: ProStreet, NFS: The Run... I fully expect NFS: Rivals to continue this pattern.
Still hoping for a third Shift. Am I the only one?
