Supersampling kills FPS? Get out of town! But yeah, it does help a ton.
It's for people with good hardware and want proper anti-aliasing. With a little SweetFX you can even counter the FXAA blur. Problem is, the game just looks like poo any time you're not looking at a car.
What is not mainstream enough? 120Hz? I get refresh rates higher than 60Hz in pretty much everything I play apart from NFSMW 2012 and Mortal Kombat both of which are locked at 60FPS.
Another question : why are there two exes ? 86 and 64, what's the difference ?
I tried both and couldn't notice any differences.
I hope for a 60fps patch though, 30fps isn't ideal at all for a racer.
What kind of AA do u have applied in SFX? FXAA or SMAA?
Supersampling 2x2 + SMAA
Neither. Downsampling + resolution scale is more than enough. There's nothing that SMAA or FXAA could do to improve this because they probably couldn't detect any aliased edges:
But I would never inject FXAA. I don't know what settings to use for it to make it effective without destroying image quality.
2160p DS + RS 2x? OMG..i suppose u are killing ur frame rate man!
I'm not using 2x resolution scale at 4K.
Maybe I'll try it if we ever see 6GB 780 TIs
Game is boring, but graphic is very good. Theres no open word racer with better graphic, maybe people here expect that trees and foliage will look similar to battlefied 4 ?? Quality like that in racer would be hard to archive
What DS res then?
game has graphical errors like textures are constantly changing and shadows dissappers. and lack of AA made it looks even worse.
using 30% of my cpu and 45% of gpu.. running 64 bit so dont know the fps but tis locked at 30 I believe..
how can I fix all these issues? Or wait for a patch?
Hope (and prey) for a patch release...
I was racing and my car crashed and crashed again before respawning my car. and then my car was all one solid color.
How is the car handling in this game ? is it responsive like an arcade racing game where you need to avoid lots of traffic and obstacles is suposed to be, or is like Most Wanted that feels like you're driving a boat ?
Looks like every ea racing game have input lag, arcade or simulator
tried it..played it for 5 mins and looks good so far.
Both cards are beeing used @ 50/60 %
Will game a bit more tommorow..goodnight
I was thinking about getting Shift 2 Unleashed but I wanted to know how gamepads handle for these type of games. I can't be bothered to set up my momo wheel (no room). Also, would people recommend the xbox 360 wired controller or Logitech F310? Sorry for the OT but I didn't want to start a new thread.
Gamepad was pretty good for me in unleashed, though it's not as arcadey as rivals.
I also use the xbox wired controller.
the game looks fun but on the xbox the game feels the need for AA, driving is pretty good with the wired xbox controller.
Please tell me how did you make it look so good.
