Fans of the series have been asking for this for years and EA have finally listened Really looking forward to getting this. Is this the same development studio responsible for Shift? +1 for cockpit view, will be dissapointing without it.
Actually i dunno why they can't make the cars moddable AND include police chases, where's the problem? Todays game designers are mostly overrated me thinks.
The first Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (or NFS3) people were able to add their own cars into the game. I remember racing with Prime (transformers) KITT, the General Lee, and even Herbie the Lovebug. Those were the days.....
I loved racing with added on funny cars\objects....the modding hasnt stopped nfscars.net I think it is...is still going strong....to have a 2010 version of that game with the add ons would be epic.
Oh yes, i remember i downloaded a Dodge Challenger from somewhere, with a wonderful V8 engine sound - shook the glasses on my shelf pretty good.
I had some epic matchups back in the day like the star wars bike vs a toilet...or the batmobile vs a monster truck...lol....good times.
I doubt its a full remake....its got different cars and one track was a rehash, probably more homage paid than just copying the old tracks....however if they remade the original Hot pursuit track per track and just used the shift engine and added a ton of cars...hell yeah id buy it.
I would need a little bit more to really like it, I mean, it would be sick if they got the handling down as well. An open world would be pretty cool.

Well maybe if this will utilise Shift engine this could potentially be very good on a PC, not sure if it will though?
you really should play hot pursuit 2 again, its not really hard , i have played the hardest difficulty without any problem last week. pretty cool to play again actually. lavalys everest was trying to minimise the game the whole time thouhg lol
yea but after hot pursuit 2 all other nfs games driving are becoming too easy (except shift). the should bring back the hot pursuit driving mechanic to this new one
