nfs hot pursuit is a remake imo for today's console noobish generation it does a good job, not even AA support
Oh there we go. That's what I mentioned earlier. Kind of sad how that's the closest to rain you'll get in this game.
I found something today I know most of you will have hard time to confirm it because you have such lighspeed cards, but anyway game has some kind of vsync/frame limiter technology for 60fps. but if fps gets below 60 there is input lag felt both in game and in game menus.
Ran through it a few more times and i can confirm this. Seems impossible to get solid 60fps (in chaotic races) even when setting details right down, and makes alot of races impossible to finish 1st on.... EDIT: Forgot to mention that if you have less than 60fps, dont expect your Spike Strips to deploy even 2 seconds after you press the button, some times its took me 3 or 4 secs to deploy it, and ended up wasting ALL of them because you cant judge when to let them rip due to lag.
I think this game is only optimized for 2 cores (i haven´t seen over 47% cpu usage). I believe this is what is hurting my framerate the most, because no matter what settings I choose (1920x1200) I get about the same framerate (30-45 fps). I even tested 1024x768 resolution and only gained about 5 fps.
weird, i have 60fps lock all the time.. even if i force supersampling etc.. EA give us antialiasing already
this games is very strange as i was gettinhg 45-55 fps yesterday and today ím getting a solid 60fps allways with AA turned on and the same settings as before
Bar the lack of native AA support, I think the game looks really excellent. Let's the game is quickly patched though because I'm hearing reports about missing effects such as rain. I hope my copy has arrived today... I've been waiting for it all week since GAME sent an email last Sunday claiming that it was 'on its way'!!!
That 580 will get a bit of a workout Daz Hope you like the game, at first I didn't really like it much but after a while tinkering with it, it's very good, even tho console port :nerd:
