I know, i know, i ask the weirdest things.
Anyone know what this is called (size wise? M? )?
It's a self-tapping screw, you don't need a thread or hole to screw it into material.
thanks, i meant size wise
you'd have better luck taking it to the hardware store and asking an associate. Otherwise it's tough to tell from a picture, even with the ruler.
I think there are zillion different - some examples here: https://www.smithfast.com/smithfasteners/pantapping.html and https://25udam187zpf2mzghz28ihhs-wp...TAPPING-SCREWS-PAN-HEAD-AMERICAN-FASTENER.pdf
Cool, actually what i needed to know is the 'M' part. Is that taken at the widest part of the thread? or at the 'root' (if i may call it that) part of the thread.
Edit: Found it! thanks guys for leading me to the right track, much appreciated.
F**k it! I'll play!
Gonna go with 3.5 x 25mm
i think its M6x20
#10 self tapping sheet metal screw
it's a fender well screw!
That was fun!....ask us something else!
