I on the 2600k at the moment, but I need a better cpu for gaming, should I wait for the Intel 7700K, or get the 6700k right now?
You wont see much improvement in current games, so waiting would be your best option. What games are giving you problems atm? Because I run most if not all games just fine at 1080p. And the games that require me to use medium settings like mafia3, are not so good optimized and/or doesn't look much better at higher settings. Anyway, wait for the 7700k. And depending on how new games run, I myself might wait even longer, as long as my 2600k does the job. And imo it still does the job, even for GTX1080.
