I'm trying to find Windows 7 drivers for a Geforce 4200 Ti I know this is an old card but I'm currently running Win7 on an old PC for testing purposes. I won't be installing on my main PC until all program compatibilty issues are resolved.
these are for Windows XP/2k but worth a shot. you may be able to install them by disabling driver signing. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.htm
i highly doubt 7 would work with such an old gpu. i wouldnt bother even trying m8. get urself a new card or go bk to xp and wat issues ? . i have 0, well some issues apparently with virtual drives but they still work after a reboot even with windows showing me a compatability prob window.
Win7 only installs standard VGA drivers for this card. The reason I use this old card on this PC is because it has video capture and I use it to convert tapes to digital video. My main PC doesn't have video capture. I have some programs that have been reported to not work with win7. I'm waiting for these programs to be updated for 7.
What compatibility issues? If you have a legacy application that -only- works with windows xp, then you can use Windows 7's "Windows XP Mode" which runs a hybrid virtualization enviroment in a window just for that application. All you need is any modern CPU that supports intel-vt... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx I've tried it and it worked flawless for me so far.
I believe the OP is looking for WDM drivers for VIVO, in which case I don't think there will be any released for Win7 as mainstream Nvidia cards haven't had that functionality for a long time now.
