Nice, but those things make Windows unstable and cause crashing etc..

Ive tried Talisman Desktop and WindowBlinds, both caused problems :O

 

I have used windowblinds and have never faced any problems. Infact new windowblinds 5beta is even better .... consumes very less resources. http://www.wincustomize.com is a pretty good site for desktop enhancements

Windowsblinds isnt free for the real version and the free version sends up a stupid advertisement everytime you turn on the computer. Is there anyway to turn off that everytime you turn on the computer.

Then I've to try the new windowblinds beta! That program is getting faster and better every time they update it, but to say the truth I'm happy with the windows classic theme and my DIY-Wallpaper.

 

Heh! the new windowblinds is great actually. i am using the wb 5.0 en. usually i go with msstyles but this time i decided to give windowblinds a try. per pixel alpha transperancy is really nice.

however that doesnt change the fact that 90% of Windowblind Themes are BLOAT! i mean comeon how can people stand having their desktop look like Bloat.

 

I use TGT Soft's Style XP, and don't have any issues with crashes or problems at all.
It has a feature to "Use No Resources" upon startup, which is nice.
But, it's a paid version.

 

Hey! Windowblinds 5 is great! Now it runs like a service, no more wbload.exe process! And it's faster, I like the transparent borders and all these things.

My rig is happier than before

 

i like dreamrender, its not any kind of shell or nothing, but instead you can create your own animated wallpaper..even use videos, you can use regular wallpaper and make water ripple or raindrop effects,other morphing stuff,things like that, definitly a great addition to any skin program. more info at dreamrender.com and i think majorgeeks still has file for download

i use fraps and record stuff from games like x3 and use the video in dreamrender so it plays it out on desktop,definitly grabs peoples attention and everyone always says..nice screensaver lol

I never liked Windowblinds, always pretty bloated.

Haven't tried the new Beta 5.0 though, maybe when it gets out of beta I'll have another look.

Even if I start using it, finding a decent theme that doesn't hurt your eyes and look like crap is the hardest thing.

 

can'tbeat my plain black desktop... those things r a waste of resources...I have all my desktop settings turned off so anyone using my comp cannot do anything about it,..
