Mostly depends on the title, but, the lack of those 2 extra GB of VRAM really hurts the card.

 

Few tittles like doom eternal, fc6, re8, bf2042 will be limited by vram but you can always reduce the textures. Shame becouse 5600xt have enough gpu power.

 

and Vega has HBCC so it will last for very long....

 

vram limitations hurt amd 6GB 1080p cards the most of all,sadly.
even 10GB for 4K is plenty (7-8G vram usage) and 8G for 1440p (6-7G).
I think people who chose 5600xt would buy up (5700) if they knew that upgrading to 6700 would be nearly impossible.

 

Not in my case.

I ****** my VEGA 56 by chipping the GPU die.
I had money saved, but not enough for a 5700 because it was double the price at the time.
So, It was either a VEGA again or a 5600XT.
I couldn't fine a decent VEGA, so I went for the 5600XT. And I am thanful I did, now, a year or so later, the 5600XT is triple the price.

 

why do people even compare amd to covidi9 anyways

1080Ti Vs 5700XT

 

Graphics performance has been so slow in the last generations, that a 5.5 year old GPU can still be competitive in current games.

 

1080ti is holding up but still look at the newer games it falls behind even the 3060. Pascal driver optimizations are no more.

Just look at 5700xt in comparison that card was slower than 1080ti now its similar or faster and even have sam support.

 

and with NimeZ you get the DXNAVI DX11 update

 

5700 XT would've been even faster in all the DX11 games tested if NimeZ with DXNAVI optimizations would've been enabled.

 

5700xt was such a great card and still is. Its a steal how cheap are they now
