It's nice that now reviewers are raising awareness about the driver issues but it has been 7 months since Navi launch. Too late. AMD should have put out an official announcement about the BLSOD months ago and not in late January. It's the lack of communication from AMD that's most frustrating. Trying to ignore the driver issues might be beneficial for sales in the short term but will lose customers in the long term.

No one is ignoring driver issues. It's true that customers are not always aware if their reported issue is being acknowledged. No worries, it will get better :)

I feel for the people suffering from this. I've been in the lucky rest, not having any issues. I can believe it isn't an easy fix this considering it's not easily repeatable.

Now they should have communicated that crap is going down.

That's the problem. Lack of communication. They just needed to do an official topic on their forum and state that they are working on it and keep posting updates and not leave their customers in the dark. It's good business practice.

The problem may be that they may not be able to fix it or at least, they don't know how. Hopefully that's not the case and it's a spaghetti code problem, especially since the issues occur a bit on other cards

They've done this before. The DCII GTX580 had no memory contact or memory heatsinks, and relied on airflow only. It ran hotter vs MSI competitor, and memory failure rate was above norm. Penny pinching and lack of QA testing.

"However, the relation of the whole should not be forgotten here: These return rates are generally quite low - everything that comes out below 3% is normal to good class in this business. Based on this data, nobody can say that AMD graphics cards would cause problems for their users in a row and therefore could not be bought - the RMA quotas shown clearly point such statements back into the realm of myths and fables. Of course, nVidia still has the better RMA rates, but the RMA level is so low that this is not a significant advantage"
