First card ever was a Power VR card, i foolishly believed the hype that this would beat 3DFX, after that it was Power3d 3DFX cards, then onto Voodoo 3DFX cards, MX and FX cards next, then it gets kind of fuzzy with GT and ATI cards, then back to Nvida with the GTX 560, then GTX 760, GTX 970 up until the present GTX 1080.

First Video Card ever .... Well... VIC-II chip on the Commodore 64 - Probably don't count.

Unknown 256K VGA ISA Video Card on a 286 - 12MHz slim line computer
Unknown 512k SVGA ISA Video Card on a 386 40MHz - First PC Build.
Unknown 1MB SVGA VESA Local Bus (Bet most people don't know what that is) Video Card on a 486 DX4 100MHz.

    First 3D Card...

Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Video Card - Got it to play Mechwarrior II and found most games didn't support it.. only software mode... A flop!
Diamond Stealth II S220 - Another crap but at least better supported.
Diamond Monster 3D - Brought it used and used for a few months - Traded away for a PSX later. lol
Diamond Monster 3D II 8MB - First time spending over $200 on a video card but worth it.

3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 PCI - Was low on money so can only afford it. Got it as a replacement for the Monster 3D II.
    3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 AGP - Got it as a gift later
3dfx Voodoo 5 5500 - Sometime later, brought the card off a friend cheap after 3dfx went out of business. Did not use it at all.

    Hercules Geforce 2 MX 400 64MB - First post 3dfx card.
    BFG Geforce 3 Ti 200 - 128MB
    BFG Geforce 4 Ti 4200 - 128MB
BFG Geforce FX 5600 - Thought I got a faster card but actually a bit slower than my old TI4200.
Chaintech Geforce 6600 GT - 256MB - last of the AGP video card
    EVGA Geforce 8 8800 GTS - 640MB
    EVGA Geforce 8 8600 GT - 256MB
    EVGA Geforce 8 8800 GTS- 512MB
    EVGA Geforce 260 w/ 216 - 896MB
    MSI Geforce 460 GTX - 1024MB
    EVGA Geforce 560 GTX Ti - 1024MB
    Nvidia Geforce 660 GTX (OEM) - 1536MB
    Gigabyte Geforce 960 GTX - 2GB
Geforce 960M GTX - 4GB (On my Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Gaming laptop)
    ASUS Geforce 1060 GTX - 6GB
    MSI Geforce 1070 GTX - 8GB

Those are the ones that i benched for hwbot points but my history with pc hardware / video cards goes waaayy back to my first video card ever bought and that was a 3dfx vodoo1 in the 90s. Most of those older gen vgas i never benched for hwbot points.

You have had quite few yourself , impressive how much hardware we have tested thru the years on this hobbie :D

Yes sir from what I gather sli and crossfire are becoming a thing of the past,I mean we still have hard-core pc heads like ourselfs here but not like it was before. I love our Gtx 980 and once I upgrade the cpu and motherboard I will be moving onto the Gtx 1080 or 1080ti.

Impressive list of GPUs you have there on HWBot buddy. I've never benched for HWBot, old school OCer here: pen and paper method :) is still my choice for keeping OC results for future analysis and still it is 20+ years later. Still keeping few hundreds of pages full of BIOS/CPU/RAM/GPU OC settings, GPU drivers used for benching, benchmark results... from my early OC days way back in mid '90. There was no internet backthen to upload benchmark/OC results somewhere, HWBot came much more later. Few local 33.6Kbps BBS's and their forums or chat rooms where the only place where I could stumble upon a few geeks to share same OC madness with :D

^^^^ some OC/bench/testing results & settings 5, 6, 7 years ago I've found few minutes ago. Too tired atm to dig for those 15+ years older results somewhere deep down in basement.

I wish I would have a list like you do on hwbot just for reference. I kept a few board and video cards and put them on my walls. I even spent 7 years trying to find a 2nd HiS Turbo HD 5770 just to finish a dream of having 2 of them with an i7 X58 rig that I had back in 2010 when I got my first quadcore setup with a q6600. I found a working sabertooth X58 with an i7 920 for $40. Already had 8GB DDR3 Red Ripjaws 1600, and bought a 3rd stick for $19.99 on ebay, the listing said it was 1 4GB DDR3 1600 rip jaws, but he sent me a 2133. So I have all 3 set to 1866. I literally have $85 total in the rig.

I have about 10 1366 cpus alone sitting in a drawer. prolly 20 AM2 cpus, a few Am3+ cpus also, a few 775. Sadly all of my earlier cpus were stolen and some thrown out without me knowing about it. Hell I have had 7 full X58 rigs now and even had the Gigabyte G1 sniper 1st edition. That took a long time to find one working.

:D , omg ! i had done similar notes in the past , thank you for bringing back good old memories with those notes on paper pictures :) . After i quit benchmarking for hwbot points i threw away like 20 notebooks worth of many many years of tweaks / testing voltages / volt mods / cooling temperatures on air , h2o , single stage , cascade cooling , dry ice and liquid nitrogen , etc... , i'm still old school like you my friend i still write my testing numbers on paper. Fun times ...

Dude that is so sad and sorry to hear that :( who would still your cpus and why ? People sometimes are just born bad from inception :/ . Quite a collection of cpus bro , x58 was a great plattform :)

Its was a very bad roommate. Long story short, they stole almost everything I owned, and through the rest. AMD or Intel fan, X58 is legendary. By far the best platform every released. Sandybridge will go down as the best CPU architecture ever released.

Currently have 16 GPUS hanging on the wall.
One days I will many dual gpus like the 3870x2, 7950GX2, etc.
Sadly only 7 motherboards on the wall. That will change soon too.
3 ful workings computers in my room on the floor besides my server and gaming rig. 1 is my HTPC also.
  18. Gee, this is a good one. I really cant recall all of them, but Ill try...

    Geforce 2 MX440 Leadtek
Geforce 6800 Ultra SLi (still my favorite cooling shroud)
Geforce 7800 GTX SLi (2nd favorite cooling shroud)
    Geforce GTX 295
    Geforce GTX 680
    Geforce GTX 1080 Ti

Pretty certain theres a team RED (ATi/Radeon) card in there somewhere, I believe It was bought for the launch of Half-Life 2. So it was either the Radeon 9800 pro or Radeon 9800 XT. I really miss these days of discovery. You buy components today and you know itll be "obselete" in 6months back in the day it just felt like you were getting a really good deal on your GPU purchases. Nostalgia perhaps ☺

Oh and it sucks, but I have no idea where these cards went....really sucks because many of them were my first adventures into watercooling...
