Yes, wash them... with isopropyl alcohol, several times.

Soap and water are basically useless at removing the capsaicin oils, at least the oils from the super-hots I grow.

    @Extraordinary,

Getting close (another month or so) to plant-out.

I am doing MOA Scotch Bonnets this year; maybe we can compare notes later this summer?

Anyway, have some interesting new super-hot hybrid crosses going. I will try to post pics as they start podding up.

    Hope yours are doing well.

I'm a big fan of hot food, even though it tends to hate me. I've tried making my own chilli sauce before and quite liked the results. I'm wanting to try my hand with Mustard tbh, I've been buying whole grain with birds eye chilli's, but the ones I've tried don't have as much kick as I'd like.

Unfortunately I didn't plant any super-hots this year, just a few tomatoes and a couple of cayennes on the go atm

Still have one Scorpion plant from last year, still giving fruit too, only tiny little things, but they pack a punch

Wasn't organised at all this year, still had all last years dead plants and old soil in all the pots up until a few weeks ago, didn't have any new compost or anything to start new plants off with until recently so might be a scarce crop this time round lol

Think it's a bit late to start superhots off now, doubt there would be enough warm months left for them to fruit

Just wanted to share a few pics of some super hots...

These are supposed be a Bhutlah (cross between a Trinidad 7-Pot Douglah and a Bhut Jolokia, aka Ghost Pepper), but I am not so sure:

A couple Big Red Mama, and two Big Black Mama (I believe these are also a cross because they are much larger than normal BBM):

    An unripe Red 7-Pot Primo:

I have dozens of other varieties, these are just a sample.

We did a who is the most daredevil bravado macho contest, a friend just panicked after a bite of Carolina paste from this jar.Somehow, some oil dripped from the jar on a tablecloth, and somehow I touched it then my shoulder blades with my hands.Man, the itching kept on going well into the night and in the morning, I still felt the bite.

Really enjoying this bad boy at the moment. Two-three drops are enough to spice up a slice of pizza, but put those drops in you mouth without them being on food and it is gonna be painful.

I am growing Carolina Reaper's, bit scared to try them myself.... not really sure what can be done with them realistically.

They are pretty easy to start from seed... a friend just gave my the core bit of one which had some seeds on it, started about 6 plants from that which I think was about 4 months ago and they are just beginning to fruit now.... scary looking things.
