Sounds like a good plan, cheers I`ll look up some seeds

Yea the white bullets are super hot, I tried one while it was still green and it set my face on fire for a good 5+ mins, gave some ripe white/yellow ones to the gf's brother and he said they were a lot hotter than the green

Starting to get quite a few ripening now

I grew some Apache chillies about 10 year ago, and picked a small ripe one. My god my face was on fire. And my then 8yr old son chewed the rest of what I left lol. And he's loved hot things since.

Holy s**t, just tasted a few tiny little dots of this about 10 minutes ago and the centre of my tongue is still burning like mad, feels like I've got a 9v battery on it lol

Not for me, the gf's brother seems to have no limit to the heat he can consume, when everyone is dying on the floor sucking ice-poles, he's going for more

Determined to find his limits :D

    Wikipedia:

    Boerhaave syndrome

"Esophageal rupture in Boerhaave syndrome is thought to be the result of a sudden rise in internal esophageal pressure produced during vomiting, as a result of neuromuscular incoordination causing failure of the cricopharyngeus muscle (a sphincter within the esophagus) to relax. The syndrome is commonly associated with the consumption of excessive food and/or alcohol as well as eating disorders such as bulimia."

So, while some might like to associate the Bhut Jolokia with directly causing the problem, it is far more likely the vomiting was the immediate cause, albeit due to the person being unable to tolerate the peppers.

Speaking of super-hots, I picked one of my Scorpion plants from the greenhouse that looked the most promising, and brought it indoors, put it on a heat tray and under lights and a fan for a couple of weeks, then back on the windowsill, and it has finally started to fruit

Fingers crossed there is enough time left in the season to get them ripened and hot

Well, can't say I'm overly impressed at the fake scotch bonnet a.k.a bishops crown pepper crop this year :D

Don't know if these scorpions have much of a chance either now

It has been a while since I checked on this thread.

    @Extraordinary,

One tip I could offer; larger containers allow larger plants, and consequently, more pods.

I'll admit I do LOVE spicy food, BUT my stomach just cannot handle it. These guys who eat it on the regular, how the hell do their butts manage?

I've heard people say the more you eat spicy food, the more your stomach will get used to digesting it and what not.

    Any ideas?

Thanks, yea I'll no doubt be trying something new next year, space is the issue really, more of a hobby than anything serious until I get somewhere with a garden

See if any of them survive the winter, supposedly cutting them back and watering maybe once a month is enough to keep them alive, and should give even better crop the next year once they wake up

The growtent is outside, I presume?

What are your lowest night-time temperatures inside the growtent?

Bubble wrapping the containers helps them survive the winter. Some people even bubble wrap the sides of the greenhouse!

Outside yea, during winter here they can drop as low as around -8c I'd say, lowest ever recorded not far from here was -21.1c lol

Not really that bothered if those plants survive tbh, just be interested to see if they do

Might be an idea even during the summer around here lol

Just remember to wash your hands before you use the restroom if you're cooking/BBQing while having a few with these... from experience.
