now there's a smart pilgrim, uninstalled and deleted old drivers, first.

It seems someone at ATI wants us to test them. Maybe Guru3D himself had a hand in it? what do you think?

    have a good sunday

did you re-run the windows experience rating after the driver installation?

i'm asking this because my 2D clock were 157/300 MHz, but once i ran the windows assessment they switched to 400/900 MHz right after that.

Maybe this change in the 2D clocks are intentional, because at 157/300 i
find some of the aero animations kinda sluggish, for example the fade effect
that happens between your desktop and the windows is shutting down screen
also there are some rumors that some of the problems the HD5xxx series has are
due to low 2D clocks, but who knows?

CorNeLL, I re-ran Windows assessment and still my second card defaults to 157/300. But I had to restart my machine because after I ran the assessment GPU Z refused to work until I restarted. After the restart GPU Z worked again and showed 157/300 for the second card. The first one runs @ 400/1200.

i dunno about you guys, but these ones seem to idle at the 2d state instead (400/1125 on mine), and that fixes my multimonitor issues, which is pretty bad ass.

however, it still doesnt fix the d3d11 error i keep getting in heaven 2.0

    OpenCL seems broke,

GPU Caps Viewer renders nice black screen for OCL test

    OpenGL version 3.2

Frames are still higher than previous 10.3, but lower than OGL4 Mar29.

    9.12 drivers 29FPS
    10.1 drivers 30FPS
10.2 drivers 33 (some optimizations apparent)
10.3 drivers 34 (some optimizations apparent)
OGL4 drivers 53 FPS (optimizations apparent)

but, with 40nm GPU, better core and higher Memory rate, this card should be smoking. What's up with that?

Does this driver fix the long loading times in BFBC2?

are you referring to MP load times, b/c ive never experienced long load times on SP..??

i see varied results with this driver, but i guess inconsistency is ATI's forte..... :)

glad to see the majority are enjoying them...

These drives did more damage than good, I got weird crashes in BFBC2 and I also still had the horizontal lines with crossfire.

This was with a clean install of the drivers, no lapping over previous drivers.

Anyways something really wierd happend, When I did a clean install back to my 10.3 drivers I did not have the horizontal lines in BFBC2, I played 5 maps in 2 hours. :3eyes: LOL

this is what ive been trying to say.....

these horizontal lines on BFBC2 are NOT driver related, i think its a weird quirk with the game that a few re-installs will remove....

b/c im on these new drivers & i get NO horizontal lines..?? go figure. :3eyes:

lol, yeah mate, This is weird... I will have to do further testing, I will probably reinstall the new drives again when I have time for more tweaking. Currently I am trying to figure out why my non reference Sapphire 5870, which has no voltage regulator will not overclock even 10mhz !!!!! without artifacting or crashing, It works great at stock though.. :wanker: :bang: :bang: :bang:

I wish I could post a thread about my issue with this 5870 but I can not find the start a thread option anywhere....
