Now it's working exactly like in helicopter and no crash yet
There is still much to work, but maybe someone can tweak the lib file to get better results and someone with skills in photoshop can make nice texture

hey thanks...i changed the texture to more orange to make it looks like more e3...works great but the lens is too long especially for far distant car but for nearer car it's looks cool...
I will take a stab at it "again" but for gaming purposes they are way too much.
EDIT: After a couple of changes.. I can feel it in my gut, I am getting close.

Texture only. Since that video, I have improved it. I am about to upload the clip. Right now I think its releasable but I like to really test things so as not to embarrass myself

You can also change the size of lensflare in field hash="72AEEBD4"(width) and hash="05A9DB42"(height) in files Vehicles.HeadLightStandard.xml and Vehicles.HeadLightHID.xml inside lighteffectprefab.lib.
Default in helicopter file size for both is 0.5 I change it to 1...
Ok thanks for that. I fell asleep at my desk LOL. I will mess with the .lib tomorrow. This is what I have so far. Walked around a little and drove around a lot to show it wont crash.

I can't believe we're finally getting anamorphic lens flares for car headlights, it just looks gorgeous!
You should know that this has always been one of the most sought after modifications since the whole WD modding started.

Do not forget who upload .lib file that allow make anamorphic lensflare...

should be lighteffectprefab.lib not dynamiclightprefab.lib little mistake
I made some progress with anamorphic lensflare.
First-more or less solve that issue
Second-All texture is now lensflare not a part of it as it before so that should allow lensflare in better quality because now it can be 1024x256 not 256x256 as it before.
I should upload it tomorrow now go sleep.

Amazing work guys, tried Boss's lighteffectprefab.lib file with SoloCreep's flare textures and loving the result.
Boss, you realize Kad and Worse said that getting anamorphic lensflares for car headlights to work is "impossible" a couple of times before, right? Well, look where we are now. That's another game changer in my book, so congratulations to you, mate.
I actually think SoloCreep nailed the texture, too. It looks great when the cars are far, gets subtler as they come closer to the character. Just the way it should be. Now let's improve on it.
I can't believe we're actually doing this. Step by step the game is becoming much closer to the E3 video. We've got E3 bloom, lighting, rain density, E3 camera, E3 cloth textures and now, E3 anamorphic flares as well. List is getting short, soon we'll have nothing else to add to the game.
That's the power of modders for you.
I never said it was impossible, but the actual problem its that the game crashes when too many cars appear on screen.
