thanks for the insight bro..i was talking to one of my friend and he mentioned to better save up and do an OVERHAUL (mobo..processor..etc.) or start with a new BUILD..this is why i'm trying to get EXPERTS advice so i wouldn't go on overspending or underspending..

    thanks again bro!!

    Hey,

I have almost the same config as u have except gpu i have HD 4670, iam also on the same boat as you, i am going to upgrade my pc also. Here is my new config i have budget of 450$ as i am living in India.

    Only CPU+ MOBO+ RAM

    1. CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4 ghz 125W TDP, stepping C3

    2. Asus M4A89GTDPRO (890GX chipset) Great for overclocking cpu and ram.

    3. Gskill DDR3 1600MHZ CL8 or CL9 (Honorable mention by Deltatux thankx to him).

As for the gpu i will upgrade next month. So far this is best bang for buck i get. I dont care about latest and greatest all i need is performance under my budget same advice for you. Hope it helps in your decision..:)

For mid-range i'd suggest Nvidia gtx 460 or 560 (sorry i dunno ATI-AMD cards). Or do as your friend said, save some more cash and buy MOBO+PROC+RAM+GPU+PSU.... :)

And about PSU - go for Corsair only! :) Those are the best on market i think... Maybe for the TX650W, so it'll supply enough power for your further upgrades.

let me know your 2cents on this one:

    MOBO - MSI P55-GD85
    GPU - XFX GTX460
    PSU - CORSAIR 850W

this are some of the good finds i saw yesterday from 4shops..

    ----------------------

my bad GURU's i meant PSU instead of SSD..but magically they do have SSD's now here in kuwait..

I think a 650W PSU would be enough unless you wanna go SLI...

    They're fine....and I'd suggest a Core i5 750 for a CPU.

i was hoping someone would say that..sadly still isn't available in this part of the world..they told me that they could order it online for me but it would cost 30% more from its original price..

Hehe, you ass. That's funny. But, how big would an SSD be if it were 850w? Like the size of a shoebox? 850w 90TB SSD.....woof!:)

That'd be worth about $1 million if we followed linear price/gb scaling from 120gb -> 1tb -> 90tb. Perfectly affordable for a true enthusiast.

Sounds about right. Maybe a volume discount, $998,000.
