    Hi all,

I recently updated my pc (3k well spent) and tested it on fire strike...
With all my surprise I now score less than my 4years old PC. I was like WTF?
Tried all what I found online (gsync off, etc....)
I got a even bad score

    setup:
    Core i7 7700K
    GTX 1080 X 8gb
    32 GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 4133MHz
    Asus Maximus IX Hero

In BIOS I setted CPU Overclock Tuner to XMP

    With my 4 years old PC (i7 3700k, GTX 660SC, 8gb ram DDR3) I had around 17k result)
Saw Online people with same GPU but crappier RAM and CPU are getting around 21-23k result.

Wondering if I forgot to set something up in BIOS or no idea why this is happening.

Ty For your help guys ;)

    Cya

Your old system didn't get anywhere near 17k in Firestrike, I'm sorry ;)
    See https://www.3dmark.com/fs/11887274. That's 11.5k for a 2600K@4.5GHz and a GTX970@1584MHz.

Just apply a modest overclock and your new system will surely score higher than 'just' 17k.

You've probably somehow mixed up your old results with something else. As said, there's no way your old system got 17K.
With a 3770K and GTX 660 you've been in the 4K points range.

sorry my bad, I actually mixed up results.
old system (i7 3770k with gtx 1080 is near 17k result)

still with crappier RAM and crappier CPU..no way new system is around same result

In that case it's not strange at all. That just shows how mediocre the difference actually is between 3770K and 7700K.
7700K over a 3770K isn't actually a huge jump, maybe even a bit in the field of being a side-grade if one does not utilize at least some of it's other benefits, other than increased IPC when going with a 7700K.

this is a test with some OC on CPU and GPU.
Actually says my RAM is 2.100MHz, maybe something wrong there? (should be 4'200MHz) xmp is enabled

Its nothing wrong.. cpu score is on par with other 7700k, gpu score also.

Oc gpu and cpu more if you want 18-19k total score.

This is mine @4.7ghz and slightly oced gpu

Play a game and benchamrk doesn't mean sh*T. Play a game and see how the FPS is and how smooth it is. Not a stupid benchmark that taxes your GPU beyond this realm we live in. gl
