    Case: COOLER MASTER Centurion

I am contemplating getting another one for SLI. Is the performance boost from running SLI going to be worth it?
    Price: 280.99

    Operating System: Windows XP home

Heard AM2 was having alot of compatability with ram and this ram checked out on most boards. seems like good ram

Thats the PC! THe most important thing for me here is noise. I am going to be doing alot of gaming as well as media work and I can't stand a loud rig. I was looking for higher end products that arent too bad on sound. If anyone has suggestions on things to add to take down the noise (heatsinks, fans) level. that would be appreciated. I am also just looking for input on things I could add that will improve overall performance. Most of the items have been bought already so there is not going to be any real switching out of parts, only adding. Thanks everyone!

The following is just my opinion, please dont take offense but I'm going to be 100% truthful to you. :)

    The Processor:
In my opinion neither, Conroe is cheaper and in most cases a better/faster solution. I am not biased either way, I usually go with whatever is the better bang for the buck personally. :) Currently Intel is leading over Amd...we'll see what the future brings.

The Motherboard: See above, would have went with Conroe, however this motherboard looks fine if you have no intent on overclocking. Which is in my opinion a shame because learning the overclocking ropes can and would offer you such a huge performance boost with little to no risk as long as you are cautious and read up before you do something. Plenty of tutorials etc.

The Case: I personally dont like this case, you could get a similar case with good space and many more fan slots. Unless you enjoy case modding this case just isnt very desirable with only 2 fan slots, since I dont see a watercooling setup. I paid $55.00 shipped from newegg for my case and its a durable case. It also has plenty of airflow options, 2 90mm fans, 2 90mm fans and a 120mm fan.

The Hard Drive: I see no problems, I've never had any problems with WD, speeds look pretty nice.

The Monitor: Friend just recently purchased this monitor, its a great monitor and I see no problems if it suits your needs. (You picked it didnt you?) :nerd:

The PSU: I would be afraid to plug this PSU personally. I would have to leave a smoke detector taped to the side of the case to feel semi-safe leaving it running overnight. (Joking Aside) Seriously speaking though a large number of people have had issues with this PSU. My friend lost his entire setup with this PSU. Its an overpriced and horrible PSU in my opinion, the price doesnt justify the performance, when Antec and OCZ have equal and better for the same price and even lower in some cases.

The Media(DVD) Drive: I have the exact same brand, I love it... I see no issues. :)

    The Graphics Card:
I personally would not recommend SLI. It will offer a performance increase but Direct X 10 graphic cards are around the corner, so in my opinion it would be a waste to spend the money on it. You will almost be forced to upgrade for better gaming experiences propably around March 2007.

The OS: Not bad, I prefer XP Pro, but thats because of all the extra options, its definitely not a necessity if you dont need those options, however I do.

The Memory: In my opinion its a good brand of memory, however its very overpriced, if your not overclocking you could have saved money getting the same timings with a different set of OCZ, Corsair or G. Skill. The timings are horrible for the price, I wouldnt have bought these personally, as they are overpriced.
