my internet slows down

    my kb per sec speed is always really high when i start downloading something, like 1000 kb/sec at least, and then it slow decreases to like 30 kb/sec.

    why does it do this?

    could be the server throttling you due to bandwidth concerns.

    Just a thought, but what speed is your connection? Most of the time when you start downloading something for the first second or two it's still working out the speed and will often over estimate.
