Fermi was great even though early models had heat problems. Would've stuck with my 460 SLI setup for another year if one of them hadn't developed VRAM problems :)

GTX460 was actually one of the best nvidia cards like, ever!

Had Gainward GTX460 GLH, great overclocker. It was not all that bad with fermi cards.:)

GTX 480 is died on june 14, 2014. Because read my message from EVGA forum.
RMA by EVGA can't repair it and have replaced from it to GTX 670. I'm sad because GPU computing, GTX 670 may be slower than GTX 480 - eg: Octane Render.

Therefore, my dead of GTX 480 will be closed. :( ;)

Yes, EVGA GTX 670 will return to here tomorrow. But I'm not interested to sell it and I'll buy EVGA GTX 780 3GB or 6GB. ;)

Have you cleaned always dust in PC monthly? Congrats. :)

LMAO, I can't believe they're giving even a 670 for it, you lucked out that lifetime warranty was a thing back then.

Then again, I still have lifetime warranty on my card which I haven't replaced since I'm disgusted by the artificial prices AMD and nVidia have right now. But it's not going to die anytime soon despite being over 3 years old due to the badass HSF I put on it.

No, if we live in Europe, we have 10-year warranty. ;)

Just replaced my dads GF8400GS with my old Gigabyte GTX470 SOC he is really pleased I tried a couple of the other cards I have and they work great a BFG GTX 260 max core and XFX GTX 275 both back in the loft but I thought my dad would prefer the 470 as is DX11 but they all work great.

Told him to upgrade his 775 intel core 2 Duo 2.8ghz he has asrock 4core 1600glan main board and it will be quicker

Awesome upgrade for a ancient fermi. I would of guessed a 660 max in return.

I would thought at least a 680 since he had a 480 but maybe I am confused on how RMA replacements work after the 480 card no longer exists.

670 is fair I'd say... but the 780 will be lots better :p

My ol 470 is still alive and kicking, got lucky with it as I never had an issue with heat or noise.
