thats not a true agp slot, but 2(i think) pci-slots combined to act like an agp slot.

You will get a huge performance drop... It is not true AGP8x slot.

i looked up the specs on the board, and saw a pic before i made my previous post. like i said before, that is not a real agp slot, but a few pci slots coupled together. i think your card will work in it, but it like anarion also says, it will perform worse than what you have now.

-edit- STAY AWAY FROM THAT G.E.A.R. SLOT! i just found out this:

865PE is as fast as 915 and together with 875 the fastest intel agp chipset, no worries about that.
i see that you have 2 512MB modules, so you will be able to run dualchannel, but because your slowest is pc2700, they will both run at pc2700.

msi is a good brand and the 865 is a proven chipset. dont worry about 875, the only difference is pat, and that only works ok if your mem can do 200MHZ at 2-2-2 timings.

id say the asus, i like asus more than msi, and the asus supports 65nm and dual cores, so you could do an upgrade to a 9x0 pentium d when their prices fall(conroe) if you want that.

the main difference between 865g and 865pe is that the g has onboard video and the pe doesnt.
