    I looked in the bios and it shows my CD Rom as primary master. I boot to windows and its GONE!!! I dont see it in my computer or does it show up in Disk Management. Obviously it has power and I checked the IDE cable. Any advice guys?

    Does it show in the device manager? If it does, try to uninstall and reboot.

    It could be your drive letters are not right, if you right click on my computer > manage > Disk management, do you see the CD-ROM drive in there? if it is try change the drive letter to something else... It's worth a shot.

    edit:~~

    oops, you can't see it in disk management either? or you can

    Its an easy fix my friend - I have seen this problem many times.
    I bet you have installed or uninstalled a CD/DVD burning application recently.

    1) Run Regedit.exe
    2) Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    3) Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters keys.
    4) Reboot :)
