Well, i already have a ASUS 24" VG248QE. and today saw local store %50 off of that monitor. which leads me shall i go for multi monitor. i dont autocad or edit stuff but i surf and game at same time. or i watch videos and surf at same time. 2 months ago i did a multi monitor with different brands. was good but was also a 27" setup and ate a lot of space. so my wife was a bit annoyed with the bulky space they ate so i canceled that setup. now 2x24" monitor setup sounds good. but for gaming? how much resolution it counts ? i have no idea. i must add if 3 monitors i must use or 2 for a proper multi monitor setup? this asus can vertical turn; so can be an interesting view. what say u guys?
I run 3 x 1080p @ 6040x1080 for gaming, I hate trying to game on one LCD now LCDs are all mixed, 2 x 23" and 1 x 22", can't really tell the 1" difference when gaming If you're gonna game on multi monitors, you need 3, otherwise the two plastic bezels are right in the middle of your view, so things like crosshairs / aiming / driving is all blocked by the bezels It's a great experience gaming on 3 x LCDs, much more immersive -- Emailing pictures destroys the quality
MultiMonitor is very much worth it. Especially if your into racing games. I for one dont think I could give up using 3 monitors to game on. rfactor screenshot with triple monitors This is an older picture. Not my current setup. Not using the 25inch monitor in the middle anymore. Now on a 22 inch.
Depends. I have 2 monitors and I dont feel that I really NEED that 2nd monitor. I would be just fine with 1. Yeah that 2nd monitor makes stuff bit easier sometimes but meh. And I always game in 1 monitor.
For gaming you do yea, windows sees the LCDs all as one, so the image will be centred, now imagine having the centre of the game covered by two thick black plastic bezels - when you add a 3rd LCD to the mix, the centre of the image is on the centre screen Needs to be an odd number of LCDs, even number will cause bezel issues
Love me my 3 monitor setup. I only have a 22" 1680x1050 centre screen and 2x1080p 22" screens but its still brilliant for gaming and windows use, I could never go back to 1 screen EVER. Ill replace them with 3x21:9 curved screens once they're 144hz and a bit cheaper.
I usually game on one monitor and have a movie running on the second monitor. Depends on the game though.
Exactly, I've had my Samsung 226BW for 8 years, I changed the side screens twice but only because GPUs stopped supporting more than 1 VGA. I'm going to do my sext setup right and hope I'll get another 8 to 10 years out of it. I'd love to do it now but the timing isint right on tech for something you'll be looking at for the next 10 years I also want to finish off my living room with a unit under my projector screen that will extend on the side to house my PC and be a desk for the screens, so another reason to do it right.
Ive had my 22" VH222H for about 5-6 years, the Acer whatever it is for about 3, and the ASUS VS238 for about 1 year, so they are all different colours and brightnesses and whites, or yellow as the case of the old ASUS is When gaming you can't tell, but on desktop / forums you can see the differences Plus not all games play nice with Surround, and with 6040x1080 vs 2560x1440, I'll get a nice FPS boost too
i would love to try a 3 screen setup but unfortunately i cannot afford 2 more swifts, saving my funds for a graphics card upgrade when nvidia release a gtx1080 or gtx980 Ti..
I dont think I play games that would be nice with 3 screens. Also that would eat tons of power so I would play anyday with 1 screen with high settings and high fps than 3 screens, low fps and low details.
I'm in the VERY small minority that hates multi monitor. I don't know why, but having gaps in the image just irritates me to no end. Can't stand it. So I just roll with one.
I used two monitors for a long time and could never go back to a single screen. You're right that you won't want to game on both screens, but having that second monitor up is still hugely useful: Browsing on the second monitor while gaming (esp for looking up game info) Steam chat/friends list Video/music controls System performance/temperature info Teamspeak Keybinding info (very useful when playing a new game using a keypad liek the G13) Using battlescreen with Battlefield 4 I eventually went to three monitors and love it, but I actually find myself missing that extra screen where I used to have all of that extra info before.
Multi monitor worth it. I have 4 monitors. For Security cameras, Video editors are awesome, Monitor task manager while gaming is great, Surf web and streaming movies.
