Copper heatsink must be heavy, but I'll bet it will make a nice improvement in temps. Not that the existing 970 cards have any temp issues, but MSI maybe should have done this on AMDs R9 cards instead.

If it's only for the looks... but I guess they are toying around with designs, possibly for PR reasons and as a test for any Lightning model maybe?

It's not just about looks, copper is a better conductor and will have a positive effect on temps.

This is surely overkill on a 970 that produces so little heat anyway but I love overkill!

  6. I'd very much prefer chrome/silver/platinum over the color of pee.

Looks good to me, and btw I would go see a doctor if your pee is the color of copper than its natural yellowish state :D.

Anyway, looks are NEVER a factor for me when it comes to any component that goes inside my case. But, never one to be shocked, I'll bet that there are peeps who even prioritize looks over performance.

You and I are in the Formula 1 category of PC buying. If it's not functional, it's not needed. Everything should be geared towards performance and reliability.

Some people will always be in the Ferarri 458 convertible club. Yes it's still a great machine but you bought the showoff model :)

This reminds me of the HOF white card that Galaxy or Galax did with the 750Ti with 3 fans now that was overkill. This interest me to see what temps the people who purchase this get and if there are any reviews talking about it.

they should go the other way and put it out just flat black with pipes hanging out like a harley with a few unlocked tex units or something

what looks it have i dont care, as my hardware is inside the Tower.
Also i still dont get why ppl keep put there tower on the table, insted of on the floor.
    Air is cooler@floor.

even if you want color's in your case. Well how much time doo you look at the case vs you monitor..!

Couldn't agree more. Performance is more important than looks, well, for a pc that is. It's what's in the inside, not the outside. :)

My pc tower is on the floor and not on the desk.
