Yesterday ASRock shows some photos of their Radeon RX 54700 custom cards, MSI can be added today. MSI released more details about its custom video cards. Four versions can be expected for the RX 5700 ... MSI show Radeon RX 5700 video card with custom cooler
Looks rather sleek and simple. No RGB parafernalia. 2 fans could cool down the RX5700 better than one single blower fan. Will wait for the official G3D review.
"Yesterday ASRock shows some photos of their Radeon RX 54700 custom cards" Wow, are we in the future?
Now that I've got a 5700XT (50th Ann) installed, I'm much less interested in the fan models that merely exhaust the hot air directly into the case. The 50th Ann is factory overclocked already--and I cannot hear the fan, blower or not. When playing games I cannot hear it at all, actually (case is 2-feet away, open side-panel facing me.) That doesn't mean at some point that I won't hear it, but the GPU draws less power than my old RX-590, and quite a bit less than my old 590/480 Crossfire, and this probably had a lot to do with the fact that I don't hear it--yet. I do remember some quite noisy AMD-style blower fans on AMD GPUs years ago--but this is nowhere near that decibel ballpark. I think that lots of people recall those earlier blower fans, hence their initial reaction to this one, possibly.
I think I'll wait for the AIB cards so that the reference cards get cheaper, and the buy a reference one. You can get a reference Asus RX 5700 XT for 420€ now, and an EKWB block plus a backplate and 2 fittings cost around 180€. If the price on the reference models drops a little, you can get a watercooled 5700 XT for less than 600€, which is pretty decent (if you already have a custom loop), considering the top AIB offers will probably cost around that price at launch.
How is it trolling when I posted the TRUTH, you how ever want to flame the post with your emotional loyalty. Post up some FACTS, don't post for post counts...(who's the real troll!) U or me.
How is it trolling when I stated a truth the CPU'S run hot, and we all know about there GPU'S. Hows that a troll, cause I don't blow sunshine up everyone's azz so now I'm a troll, or you just power trippin.......
I don't think you're reading the situation here. Me as a staff member is telling you to stop. You should stop.
well ltt did have that 5700XT that ran to 95c and shut off in the sottr menu, but that could have been a dud card...... This is a custom cooler variant and has nothing to do with reviews so far though voltages don't translate immediately into heat when you optimise the chip and keep leaky parts away from highly active parts. Intels 1.1, 1.2, etc voltages are warmer on their cpu's than amd's 1.4v due to various factors, so you're rather off base here. AMD can keep their chips cool with a cooler thats got less metal in it than a radiator or tower cooler necessary to keep the equvialent intel at safe levels.....
