Hey guys, just got a used rtx 2060 for 420usd, i wanna ask is there any recommendations for keeping temps around 70c , i heard it s normal for this card to hit higher than 70c while gaming, does the air flow in the case affect temps of cpu and gpu?any tip? thanks.

2060 cards can be undervolted by a great deal, look into it.
ram can be oced +1000 easy.
    They do run warm.

It s even more on warzone, 75c, and on f1 2020 gpu usage is 70% but temp is 78c

You can replace the thermal paste.
And you can also create a voltage/clock speed curve in MSi Afterburner, to undervolt the card.

You gotta look into undervolting, especially on the 2060 cards.
Your hotspot temp will be very hot if your core is 75c, may want to consider a re-paste if undervolting doesn't work.
I can undervolt my 2060 cards to 125w easy, but if you really know your way around afterburner undervolt and forcing constant clock done through undervolting you can get them to 97-100w.
Mine run at 97w, only do it with these cards tho cause undervolting many different cards can be a headache finding the right spot.
Must say tho you couldn't run them at 97w gaming, well you could but you core would be vry vry low.
*my newer 2060 actually runs at 87w just noticed, a true golden sample it is.

i fixed the temps by editing the fan curve, now temps sit at 59-60c in warzone.

however the fps is not as much as i desired, ofc it needs a i5 12400f to manage to maintain those 120 fps or 130s, coz i still fps drop in Capital and the factory and airport area where fps sits at 105 , but ever everywhere else its at 120-130 fps... so im guessing my 6700k isn t coping well with 3 digit frames in this game, needs a 6 core cpu

I tried undervolting it to 900mv at 1950mhz, seems to run cooler and with a power draw of 75w to 80w, but how can i know if this is the best undervolt setting for this card? It s msi ventus rtx 2060 6gb

That's very good undervolt, my 2080Ti does 1920mhz/925mV.

Try CP2077 for stability testing, if it crashed, lower the clock by 30mhz.

Lower temps and power draw while still holding decent clocks is the goal, i'm back on 2060 too now, the 3070ti was good but not beastly like 2080ti.
Waiting on a 3070ti step up for 100 euros.

You have to be careful with uv and make sure card is stable. RT pushes card harder so it shows you if your stable or not. My test is Contol maxed out.

What does that even mean? The 3070 ti is faster than the 2080 ti.

No they perform the same with 3070ti having less memory.
